Born on November 19, 1981, DJ Tukutz (Jeong Shik Kim) started his career as a DJ at the young age of 14 over Summer 1995 while performing at illegal raves and warehouse parties where his passion for the scene and music began. He started out playing at local raves and parties in Japan's underground Hip-Hop scene before moving up to South Korea in 2000 to attend the Technics DJ School. After returning from the academy, he went professional and hooked up with Tablo and Mithra Jin to form the trio Epik High. He found work on radio shows, live events, and clubs as a DJ around the Boston and NYC area. DJ Tukutz's prolific record includes the collaboration "Superstar" with Dynamic Duo. His education also includes time spent at Donga Broadcasting College. Favorite musicians include Dilated Peoples, D-Styles, Primo, and Triple Threat DJs.
