Gordon ‘Stealth’ McGinnis BIO Gordon McGinnis, jr. was born in Los Angeles, CA on March 10,1972. Born into a musical family, he was raised in LA. His father, Gordon, sr. recognized his musical talent early and enrolled him at the Los Angeles Center for Enriched Studies (LACES), a magnet school emphasizing the study of music and the arts. It was at LACES that his passion for music developed. By the age of 15, ‘G Luv’ as he was then known, was DJ’ing some of the hottest 21 and over clubs in LA. His work as a DJ exposed him to various aspects of the music industry leading him to begin learning engineering and marketing and promotions. Newly dubbed ‘Rated G’, his promoting and DJ work brought him into contact with rapper Kokane who in turn introduced him to members of the group Above the Law. The association with Above the Law led to his first break of a lifetime, touring with the late, legendary Eazy E. Fresh off tour and always seeking out a new project, his scratching skills brought him to the attention of George Clinton and he appears on the Paint the White House Black record and video along with luminaries such as Ice Cube and Public Enemy. Always trying new avenues, his spontaneous scratching along with their live rehearsal at a club, sounded good to the members of the band Belize. Good enough that he scratched on their record and the remix when the band released their album. Working with Belize led ‘Stealth’ as he was by now and would ever be known, to a career asso
