Artist
DJ Space Ace was a electronic musician/dj/party promoter in Detroit in the 1990s who went on to release several albums on vinyl on various labels (43 Summit Records, Fork Records and Disco Phever Records) while touring the country nearly continuously for several years. He first was inspired by a party called "Berlin" located in the downtown Detroit warehouse district which featured none other than Jeff Mills headlining a typical mid 90's hotbox 'rave'. Shortly thereafter, he invested in a set of decks and started playing local parties for several promotion companies. Wanting to expand his career, he started spending all his gig earnings on studio equipment, soon amassing enough gear to take his live p.a. act on the road, playing a unique blend of disco house and electro. He eventually retired from the scene completely after a year of touring in 2001 to purse school and to spend more time with his family.
