DJ Rudd is Rīga, Latvia-based radio and club deejay, musician and producer specialising in different genres of urban and dance music. Rudd's career started in 1999 when he got the chance to run the school radio station. In 2001, at the age of 17, he became a resident at the legendary Latvian underground club Dizzi House. He then toured the Baltic States, Russian Federation and Austria. In 2005, Rudd was asked to become a resident at the most popular dance venue in Baltic States Club Essential and got a chance to play alongside with such artists as Mark Knight and Crazy Cousinz. Somewhere along the line, Rudd managed to do production work for such labels as Hed Kandi and R2 Records. His production work has been noted also in his homeland. In 2006, Rudd produced the debut album of the band Astro'n'out entitled Kuš Kuš, which received the Annual Latvian Music Recordings Award for the Best Album of 2006. In 2006, Rudd got invited to teach deejaying at Rhythm Institute. It was an honorable acknowledgement of his mixing skills by the only modern music school in Baltic States. Rudd has entered a DJ contest only once. Organised in 2009 by the local franchise of Vodafone he won it. In 2005, he tried his potential at the radio. From that point on he has broadcast shows on four different radio stations.
