He chooses the tracks very carefully. He then ensures the tracks fit together nicely, believing the combination of these two elements is the most important aspect of the mix. When he has made a mix that contains those elements in a smooth blend, he knows he's made a successful mix. He treats the creation of the mixes as a competition with himself. It's not always easy and its very time consuming, but despite the challenge he never quits. Another thing about the mix creations is that he always tries to make them as timeless as possible. He doesn't use commercial music for this reason. He's not that keen on commercial music anyway.
