"I want to do everything in my power to make sure the human race does not loose their passion or respect for the power of music. I feel that this is truly my calling and I am what I want to be." DJ Nook aka Liam Day from Newport, Rhode Island has been a career DJ for the last 17 years. His love for music has made him care about the soundtrack more than the movie. Spinning everything from punk, metal, jazz, funk, hip hop, old and new he is known to keep the party rocking. DJ Nook is extremely skilled in blending and scratching, although, probably known most for his remixing capabilities. He started his career at small venues in Boston but very quickly worked up to larger rooms. He has claimed various gigs and residencies at places such as The Modern, Mantra, Embassy, Karma, The Roxy, Felt, Saint, and Aria to name a few. He also for the last 7 years worked with Scratch DJ Academy and Agency djs. Current and recent residencies include BOOM BOOM ROOM @ CLARK COOKE HOUSE, STUDIO 3/THE PELHAM, LOCAL 121, SALVATION CAFE, & THE LANDING. From holding fort across the country with Ultramagnetic MC, Kool Keith, to weddings, to clubs, to corporate gigs, Nook leaves no gig hanging without a dance party. DJ Nook can still be heard without going to the club, on WRIU 90.3's Real Rap Radio every Tuesday, from 3-6pm.
