Nick Walker(Craig) aka DJ Mirage Started mixing in 1983 doing pause button mixes using tape decks. He then moved onto Reel to Reel mixing after hearing a Latin Racsals mix and being inspired by them,the masters of the cut & paste mixes back in the day. Of all the elements of Hip Hop/Electro the musical side of things was what he had a real passion for,especially mixing on turntables and scratching. His mixes entitled "Electro classics Vol 10 & 11" were played on Leeroy's "Defcon Project" show on Global Funk Radio and recieved an incredible response and universal acclaim,immediatley gaining DJ Mirage a huge following. Debonaire hosted the mixes on his website where they have had tens of thousands of downloads. Mirage has done mixes for various other radio shows including Martin Evolvahs "The Future Shock" show,called Project Future Phase 1&2,which were also very well recieved. Mirage has also travelled all over Europe performing live DJ sets. After finishing mixing Street Sounds Nu Electro Volume 2 Mirage has started his own radio show(THE ELECTRO DATASTREAM SHOW) on Global Funk Radio which is aired Thursday nights between 8-10pm GMT Where he plays Nu & Old Skool Electro,Hip-Hop and Breakbeats. Mirage has just finished his first electro track called END OF LINE which has had a great response from the electro world with offers being made already for a digital release from Binalog Productions which will include remixes by various artists.
