DJ Logout, Aleksi Lemola on his passport, is a finnish born artist and DJ. DJ Logout grew up on video games, comics and music, playing piano since 6 years old. One summerday in his early teens being recently introduced to rap music young Logout decided to reserve every hiphop record of his local library. This resulted in a hundred euros of late fees but also a burning desire for electronic music and scratching. The rest of teenage vacations were then spent working on the assembly line of a mailing company to make money for new equipment while hogging his musician father’s old ones. Fastforwarding to today, much of then purchased gear is still in use and DJ Logout is making and mixing music to satisfy that same urge that got him started, logging out of typical genre thinking and just focusing on what feels cool. And those things seem to remain the same; head-nodding beats, booming bass, 2D video games, b-films and huge synthesizer sounds.
