Khaled Mohammed Khaled, known professionally as DJ Khaled, is an American DJ and record producer. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Palestinian immigrant parents, he initially gained recognition as a radio host in the 1990s for Miami's 99 Jamz. He later joined Fat Joe's hip hop collective, Terror Squad, as a DJ for live performances and as a producer for the group. Khaled became known for collaborating with high-profile artists on his singles and albums, often serving as producer and hype man, and is noted for his distinctive voice, motivational expressions, maximalist production style, and catchphrases. Khaled released his debut studio album, "Listennn... the Album," in 2006, followed by "We the Best" (2007), which included the hit single "I'm So Hood" featuring T-Pain, Trick Daddy, Rick Ross, and Plies. His subsequent albums, "We Global" (2008) and "Victory" (2010), both reached the top ten of the Billboard 200, with "Victory" featuring the single "All I Do Is Win" (featuring T-Pain, Ludacris, Snoop Dogg, and Rick Ross), certified triple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America. His fifth album, "We the Best Forever" (2011), brought his first Billboard Hot 100 top-ten single, "I'm on One" (featuring Drake, Rick Ross, and Lil Wayne). Following albums—"Kiss the Ring" (2012), "Suffering from Success" (2013), and "I Changed a Lot" (2015)—received moderate critical and commercial response.
