Artist
DJ Future Sphere is the main pseudonym of Sergey Konovalov, a music producer from Kharkiv, Ukraine, born in 1995. He also makes music as Die Struktur and Coral Orange. His influences range widely from recent indie music, shoegaze music, classic ambient and techno producers, French house music, outsider music, punk music, and classic rock bands such as The Beatles and The Beach Boys. Sergey Konovalov started making music in 2004, when he discovered a by then obsolete version of FruityLoops. He used the moniker "Ghost" for those recordings, which were largely percussive and atonal in nature, until 2008, when he registered on a site called ACIDPlanet and found out about the existence of far too many other musicians/bands that bore the same name. In a desperate attempt to claim a completely original name for himself he took up DJ Future Sphere, naively believing that being a disc jockey equaled to being a producer. Nowadays Konovalov claims himself to be a "Dream Jockey" on his Facebook page. Konovalov started publishing his music on the Internet as DJ Future Sphere and Die Struktur in 2009, but those releases (under the "label" Halcyon Daze Records) went absolutely unnoticed by anyone whatsoever. Later that year, together with Jean-Luc Stoufflet, he started yet another, half-real label called Audioscape Records, but it dissolved in a matter of months after going as unnoticed as their previous ventures were. Now Sergey publishes his music under a sublabel of Winter1212 Records
