DJ DIESEL is the monicker used by American retired basketball player, former rapper, and NBA analyst Shaquille O'Neal when producing electronic music. In 2014 Shaquille O’Neal began DJing under the moniker “DJ Diesel”. His primary genre under this act is electronic music, predominantly dubstep and bass music. O'Neal began messing around with the turntables as a teenager, and he dabbled in DJing throughout his NBA career. He would play sets alone or for his friends, but he ventured out to nightclubs after he retired. He got his first taste of the festival world at TomorrowWorld in 2015. Since then he has released music on Disciple, Dim Mak, Subsidia, Gud Vibrations, and Monstercat.
