David “D.Best” Foster was born August 17th 1990 (Hereafter known as D.Best) in the city of Aurora, IL. His mother, Nichelle Cole Foster raised David his whole life. Growing up D.Best underwent many struggles dealing with isolated living conditions, only having his brother there by his side, he bounced from apartment to apartment, and his grandparents home. This led to D.Best searching for something to love in life. Having strong memories of his both his biological father and mother being indulged in the newest records (Marvin Gaye, Teddy P., Luther and so on) D.Best was exposed to music at a very young age. D.Best began to write music when he was 9years of age, hoping to be the next Notorious BIG, or Tupac (Big music Figures at the time). He spent countless hours with the pen in his hand. This of course led to him writing poems in middle school that would change his life for the better. This is when he received his infamous name “D.BEST”. Being involved in multiple activities in and out of school, and being a stand out only left him with one choice…”Be the Best”. Therein he changed “The” to “D” for David, and left the Best , creating “D.BEST”. D.Best began performing while attending Aurora West High School. He began recording and releasing music all over his home town. This led to him combining with his younger affiliates “Stunt Money” (T-bone,Martrell, and Cantrell).
