In the world of hip-hop music, many cities come to mind: New York, LA, and Miami (just to name a few); but in the last five years new areas are producing great emcees. Cleveland has Kid Cudi, Pittsburgh has Wiz Khalifa, and North Carolina has J. Cole. While West Virginia is not known for its hip-hop, one man plans on changing that. Derrick Law is a breath of fresh air into the lungs of West Virginia’s hip-hop scene. Derrick Law, a.k.a. D-Law, has a great flow, extreme lyrical originality, and seemingly endless creativity.
