D-A-A-N stands for De Altijd Aparte Nederlander ("The Ever Perculiar Dutchguy"). This artist from Leeuwarden (The Netherlands) has already released his first recording and this has given him already lots of attention at radio and television stations. Even before his first official release he attracted many media around him in Friesland (i.e. in the northern part of the Netherlands). His light verses are quite nostalgic, a bit melancholic, and rather funny. His lyrics are in Dutch.
