D'Stephanie is more than a steady fixture on the Belgian club scene- for about 14 years she played from New york to London to the Gambia to Rome to Paris to Amsterdam to Barcelona... for a mixed crowd ( the hip- the Royal- the young- the old- the jetset and the gettho) through the boundaries of Broken beat- nu soul- afro- House- ElectroFunk- freestyle breaks and jamaican riddems . Productions In 1999 Stephanie released her old skool funky debut maxi Work your body (1999). It was quickly recognized as a certified floor filler by several of her peers and made it's way to the underground dance music lovers around the world through export (distributed by Lowlands and SRD London). Furthermore- Stephanie collaborated on an all out Shake-your-bones remix for Belgian funkateers The Wizards of Ooze (2000) and later that year 'Get up and do it' (2000)- with vocal contributions from young Jamaican rootsmaster Rohan Lee- which was spotted by DJ Magazine- Jockey Slut- Breaksworld- Plastiks and Out Soon. September 2001 Stephanie remixed Wawadadakwa's Ayama zira into a deephouse groove featuring Melissa with the massive support of Mateo 'n Matos and appeared on several playlists and charts from the States (Red melon San Francisco Chart- KCRW playlist- Groovetech playlist- Dancetracks important restocks...) to Japan- Russia and Europe .... May 2004 D'Stephanie released a follow up ep feat Melissa on Realbasic with 'to good to be true' (demo has been played at club Glass NY- Club Shelter
