CYGNOTIC REALM (alias Markus Lindwurm) is a synthesizer-project from Munich, Germany. The musical style can be classified as Melotronic Synthtrance or Space Electronica. His music captures and extends the timeless epic moods of the analog synthera in an evocative and modern mixed up style. The influences of diverse electronic styles are combined in a synthesized melange of legendary oldschool sounds and at the same time contemporary beats & sequencerlines. Therefore the sublime melodic and often melancholic element is essential and characteristic...in harmonic resonance with the progressed electronic listener. The 2008-album 'Reflections From The Future' combines pulsating sequencerlines and brizzling space sceneries with tribal grooves, overtoned synthleads and deep moody pads crossing the fields of ambient, psychedelic, trance, classical synthesizers, berlin school and even some EBM. Enthusiasts of synthetic aroused sounds will certainly detect musical influences of electronic oldschool masters like Jean-Michel Jarre, Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze and Kraftwerk that are proudly visible without ever losing its own identity and character. Furthermore Cygnotic Realm fills the gap between traditional electronic arrangements and progressed electronic listening without sounding dated.
