Cycle Hiccups is Alexandr Velikoselsky, musician, singer and composer from Petrozavodsk, Russia. Cycle Hiccups explores different ways of composing and performing electronic music almost without using premade material: “puff pies” and sound cycles” is my specific way to compose and perform music, based on a certain melodic part or phrase, which I then use to build the whole work, looping different harmonic phrases (sound cycles), both instrumental and vocal, which are being activated and layered one by one (puff pies), forming different kinds of polyphony: from transparent network to wall of sound. Vocal either plays a role of some instrument or leads.
