We are Cut Glass Accent. Formed in the latter half of 2002, Cut Glass Accent has been a frequent name in the local scene since their first show at the Blackbull in Bedlington back in August 03. In just over 6 years since their formation the band has played shows at venues as far and wide as Area 51 in Swindon to the 13th Note in Glasgow as well as famous venues such as The Stone Roses Bar in York and Newcastle's Carling Academy 2 and Northumbria University. In that time they have had the fortune to have self released 3 EPs and their debut album Fractures which is stocked and sold at HMV Newcastle amongst a number of local indie record stores. The band has also played with many well known and highly thought of, up and coming band's including: Reading & Leeds Festival veterans "Random Hand" (Rebel Alliance Records), Download Festival veterans "Keiko" (Lockjaw Records), Hardcore experimentalists "Klay" (Lockjaw Records), pop punkers "Mike TV" [Formerly Pickled Dick] (Banquet Records), Scottish 4-piece alt rockers "The Whisky Works", USA's emo/hardcore act "Waving At Strangers" and Spain's punkers "No Children". After 6 years of struggle and hardship, Cut Glass Accent signed to Scattered Records in it's current lineup and plan to release a chart registered double A download single of Cherryade/Credibility in 2009 to precede their long awaited follow up to debut album "Fractures", "This Statement is False".
