Cursed Altar is one of the many musical outlets of North Carolina based musician, Joseph Oldaugh. This project focuses on the darkest areas of humanity, nihilism, and hatred. Beginning in the winter of 2011, Joseph has been writing and recording as Cursed Alter, with many releases under his belt. In mid 2014, after releasing 'The Light Shall Die', Joseph took time off to work on other projects. During his time away, he has since co-formed and plays drums in the GSO based Powerviolence band, Bobby Orr (which he currently plays in); He did a short run of live shows under the moniker 'CHURCHDUST' as a Harsh Noise project (under this project, Joseph put out 3 EP's and 1 LP). Recently returning to Cursed Altar, Joseph plans to release a new EP and possibly a split single by January 2016.
