CRY FREE is a Hungarian Deep Purple Cover Band. The history of the Hungarian Deep Purple Cover Band goes way back to 1991, when the idea to form a tribute band which would only play Deep Purple songs came about. It wasn't realized until January, 1996, however, when the band was finally born under the name CRY FREE. The name comes from the title of a Purple track originally planned to be included on the band's legendary album In Rock, and which can actually be found on the 25th anniversary edition.
