Cry For Dawn was a relatively unknown, unsigned band, established in 2000. From the streets of Round Lake, Illinois; Cry For Dawn started as a five piece band in a self-described genre of "Dark Core." A mix of metal/numetal and industrial/electro. Cry For Dawn released five CDs, all self recorded and self produced between the years of 2000-2004. 2000 - "demo 1" 2000 - "Eternal Sadness" 2001 - "Ocktobyr" 2002 - "Angels" 2004 - "Rainy Days and Razorblades The first 4 releases were 3-4 song demo's while the last, and final release was a 10 song, full length, CD; including covers from Depeche Mode and The Church. As with many bands, Cry For Dawn went through many line up changes, with several members departing then coming back, sometimes on a different instruments then previous. Only Ash, the vocalist, remained a constant. In its five year stretch, Cry For Dawn had traveled with and played with many of the top artists of the genre at the time, including: Orgy, Coal Chamber, Godhead, Bile, Gwar, Mushroomhead, Factory 81, Ill Nino, 40 Below Summer, God Forbid, Nonpoint, Kidney Thieves, Primer 55, Five Pointe O, Lollipop Lust Kill, Society 1, and Marz. After all the lineup changes and hundreds of live performances across the United States, Cry For Dawn, at the time a three-piece, took an indefinite break from the band in 2005.
