The band formed in Bologna, IT in 1999, to force Lab Reserch between natural and synthetic sounds. They often change formation and sonic perspectives. The core of Criopalmos, is always constituted by Jay.R Ewing and Amanda Oxemberg , often is placed side by side by R.P.J Bunn (synthetic drums, effects, computer). Equally often it is present in formation the saxes of Leg Jumper (alto, soprano and baritone sax, occasional trumpet), and Jesper Olsen , one of the more active guests (mainly voices; occasionally bass guitar and percussions). Occasionally they have collaborated with Linguano Splay, on guitar, M.tto (didjeridu), Bruce 80 at the Clarinet, Aurelium/L20 (spare sax, sound engineer). Very few live concerts but much meticulous work of checks, playing , recordings etc. in the small study e of J.R. and Amanda house.
