Crashing Sunset is the musical project of Luke O'Brien, born and raised in Swampscott, Massachusetts. Luke serves as guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter for the group, with help from childhood friend Chris James, who plays bass and serves as producer and sound guru. While at college, Luke plays with his classmate and friend Drew Weisse, who plays bass. Luke has a vast range of influences, and writes songs that span from soft, acoustic folk influenced by artists such as Bright Eyes and The Smiths, to big raucous distorted rock, influenced by artists such as Weezer and The Smashing Pumpkins.
