Born out of a mutual love for hard hitting rock with a dusting of funk, dance and hip hop, Crash Jacket were formed in June 2010 as 'Tribal Suns' by Oliver Whitehead (Vocals, Guitar), Sean Barry (Lead Guitar), Adam Fletcher (Bass) and Joseph Glenn (Drums) with the aim to create highly energetic music to get your body moving and your heart pumping. After a couple of months locked away in a dingy rehearsal room, Crash Jacket were finally ready to play their first gig and did so at The Maze, Nottingham in September 2010. The songs they had been working on for the past months finally saw the light of day and were met with very warm appraise, especially the band's very popular track 'You Could Be Here', which had only been played once the previous night. Following the debut gig the band, still high on a superb perfomance, were eager to write new material and set about letting the creative juices flow for the rest of 2010. Gigs were the name of the game for 2011 and Crash Jacket continued to gain new fans from their energetic performances, including a successfull audition for the Glastonbudget Festival (to be held on the 27th - 29th of May with Crash Jacket to play the Saturday night) and a memorable performance at Spanky Van Dykes, Nottingham to help raise money for the Japanese earthquake. Once again the band are writing new material and hope to release an EP towards the end of the year, as well as smashing it up playing gigs around Nottingham, and the East Midlands for the r
