Cowboy and Indian are a two-piece indie rock band formed in Queens, NY but currently based in Cleveland, OH. The band is composed of bassist Brett Sherman and vocalist Indrany Datta-Barua. The duo, who met at Princeton University where Sherman was Datta-Barua's TA in an intro logic course, teamed up with Brooklyn hip hop producer ROAR, who added programmed drum beats and synth parts to the mix. They released their debut EP "Pony" in 2010, gaining some attention for their Team USA hockey-themed video for the single "Save Your Soul." The song "Cold Day In Harlem" features a verse from Harlem rapper Vast Aire, of the Definitive Jux duo Cannibal Ox.
