From the outset, a subtle mix of different musical styles made it impossible to force the band into a certain genre. This will also be true in the future, as Counter The Eulogy‘s songs confront the audience with messages, feelings and an attitude to life in contrast to serving stereotypes. Everything began when four musicians met in early 2004 to jam around a bit. Markus Lechner, Markus Orthaber, Stefan Schaffer and Robert Schneidhofer rapidly agreed upon making more out of these jamsessions - Handmade85 was born. In early 2006, after 2 successful years and nearly 20 concerts Handmade85 arrived at a turning point. Due to personal circumstances the project was shelved. Several attempts to recover Handmade85 in its original lineup failed. Finally, the guitarists Markus Orthaber and Stefan Schaffer decided to begin their search for new members on bassguitar and drums in the summer of 2013. Lastly, the search was successfull and the band was renamed Counter The Eulogy. The new lineup consists of Matthias Fibrich, Markus Orthaber, Stefan Schaffer and Stefan Wedenig.
