Cothan plays a style of music difficult to discribe. The band itself calls this weired Electro-Classic-Goth-Metal-Mixture "Grotesque Symphonic Avantgarde Industrial with Folk Black Metal Influences of Electronic Nature". Cothan has released an album and a single (leading to a vote as "Band of the week" on demonews.de) yet, but a new album will follow soon. The german sung lyrics' subject are strange medieval conceptual stories with a huge amount of grotesque characters apearing throughout the plot.
