This band was made as a marketing ploy for Burger King, one of many in a string of brilliant ads for the burger joint. This Slipknotesqe (in appearance) band was used for the sole purpose of hawking Chicken Fries, a new addition to the BK line up. On the Coq Roq website, four songs were available for listening, along with a store. One of the more interesting parts of the flash based site, was "Roq Rants" where one would call a number on their cell phone and play a song then a member of Coq Roq would tell the caller the song, and rant about it. The "band" gained a cult following due to the line "CHICKEN FRIIIIIIIEEEEESSSS" becoming an internet phenom on the website www.ytmnd.com.
