Fronted by the exotic Miss Benny, they debuted in early 1999 with the smoky downtempo flavors of the 'Ether' EP (Map Records). Benny is backed by a stunning eight piece live band that melds the electronics of Cooldown's recorded output with an amazing live funk feel. Led by keyboardist/mixer Michael Balch (formerly of Front Line Assembly) and producer of her new record, the band provides a vibrant and rich base of melodic sonics over which Benny projects her angelic voice and energetic stage presence.
