Conviction is a 5-piece metalcore band from Novi Sad, Vojovodina, Serbia. Formed in 2006, they have dozens of songs behind them, playing them at their frequent shows all around their country. Their greatest influences, as they say, are some modern deathmetal and metalcore bands such as the Black Dahlia Murder, Himsa, All Shall Perish, Darkest Hour and similar, while they also implement the attitude and styles of playing characteristic for oldschool bands the likes of Earth Crisis, Catharsis, Strife etc. After releasing a 4-song demo EP called "Abandoned Hope" in 2008, they re-released it again in 2011, adding 5 new songs to the CD playlist, creating their first full-length. They shared the stage with some prominent names from the underground scene such as Pulling Teeth, Discharge and Anti Nowhere League. Currently, they are preparing a new full-length which will be more technically advanced. Three songs from the upcoming release will be published on a three-way split with two other bands from Serbia, coming up soon.
