Controlled Folly is Nolan Luijten (aka Nolan Shmolan), a drummer, producer and DJ based in London. Nolan has a diverse musical background, having been involved as a drummer in various metal and psychedelic rock/blues bands, before embarking on his journey of producing electronic music. All in all he has been making music in some form or another for the last 8 years, focusing on producing psychedelic and progressive trance, as well as chill out and experimental electronica since around 2005. His dancefloor sound is percussion laced minimal prog funk, with definite psychedelic lashings. He is also working on more chilled beats, but with a definite bouncy feel.
