Construction & Destruction are partners Colleen Collins and David Trenaman, who live sea-side in the rural wilds of Nova Scotia, Canada, where they record most of their work in a studio they call, affectionately, The Quarantine. Their work has been described as "power tools after dark" [Sappyfest], "sparse, unkempt & challenging" [Wolves, Hawks and Kites] & "lo-fi gold that can be grouped with the greats" [The Coast]. Construction & Destruction write, record, produce and disseminate their work themselves. Video et Taceo is their third album, following The Volume Wars and Homebodies. They have played the Pop Montreal and Sappy Records festivals in Canada, and the Glasgow DIY Festival in the UK, among others. Construction & Destruction have toured with numerous other artists, including underground heroes Julie Doiron and Al Tuck.
