Artist
William "Conductor" Williams is an American record producer known for his work in hip-hop, particularly with the Buffalo-based collective Griselda Records. He gained recognition for his contributions to the gritty, boom-bap sound that characterises much of Griselda's music. Williams, originally from Buffalo, New York, began his career as a producer in the early 2010s, initially working with local artists before gaining attention for his collaborations with Griselda members Westside Gunn, Conway the Machine, and Benny the Butcher. His production style draws heavily from classic East Coast hip-hop, often incorporating soulful samples, hard-hitting drums, and gritty textures. In addition to his work with Griselda, Williams has also produced tracks for other artists in the hip-hop scene, further solidifying his reputation as a prominent figure in underground rap production. Despite maintaining a relatively low profile compared to some of his peers, Williams' impact on the hip-hop landscape is widely recognised, with his production contributions playing a significant role in the rise of Griselda Records as a powerhouse in modern rap music.
