Condorcet were a three-piece indie/emo band from Canberra, Australia, who released a four-track demo on 3" CD and a split with fellow Canberrans '...Like Foxes'. Both of these are available for free download from A Casket to Call My Own. The band make a point of sticking to strong DIY ethics, as well as making a statement on moral issues, particularly the consumption of meat-products. Their sound is characterised by the use of intricate guitarwork interspersed with a more punk-influenced, heavier style of guitarwork and drumming. The vocals are equally screamed, yelled and spoken by all members, often at once. The band dissolved in 2008 and played their last shows in late 2008/early 2009.
