Vince Hawkins & Company Slave is comprised of 3 genuine and honest approachable guys that share their love of jamming and passion for the hard rock bluesy groove steeped in the freedoms afforded them by the soul of the blues. Founding member Vince Hawkins has created a formidable hard rocking power trio that has proven to wake the inner souls of both long time lustful hard rockin’ blues enthusiast and new time rock fans that share in the passion of blues rock soul inspired music. Born and raised in Toronto, Canada, Vince was one of 6 kids raised in the crowded confines of an Ontario housing project in a 4 bedroom townhouse with a stay at home mom and a dad who worked 16 hour days as a cab driver. By the age of 16 Vince had worn down countless stylus needles and worn out most of his brothers vinyl album collection listening and learning to play guitar by ear the various artists the likes of Cream, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Ten Years After, Ted Nugent etc. and countless blues artists in the need to satiate the sweet sounds that called to him. After a brief stint in college at the age of 19 Vince decided to pack a bag of cloths and take his guitar south to Florida where he live and played on the beaches up and down the Florida keys with his guitar case open for change for the next year and a half of which provided him his food and stay and an experience of a lifetime.
