Columbus Duo are from Gdansk, Poland. The Band was brought to life in 2002 by two brothers, Irek (bass, loops) and Tomek (guitar, voice) Swoboda, formerly members of Thing and Columbus Ensemble. In comparison to the latter, the sound has become a little bit more austere, two guitars are sometimes accompanied by loops and a voice. More melodic, Columbus Duo ventures into the areas of alt-country, and the brand new songs, with French lyrics, propose the intimacy that seems suited for the post-industrial sensibility.
