about

There are at least two bands named Cold Colours: one from USA, Minneapolis, and one from Finland, Jyväskylä. 1. Formed in 2001 in Jyväskylä, Finland. Started by covering The Cure, but switched to original songs in 2002. All members have been in numerous bands playing different styles of music over the years before forming Cold Colours. Thus it is natural that all members have also contributed equally to songwriting from the beginning. Their ambition is to make music that is dark and atmospheric but also rude and unconventional. In their live shows Cold Colours have become an intensive and uncompromising act. At the moment Cold Colours are promoting their new EP ‘Have You Seen The Ghost of John?’ which was released in the beginning of June. 2. Hailing from Minneapolis, COLD COLOURS was formed under the name of WOLFTHORN in 1995 with sole member Brian J Huebner. After releasing a few demos, WOLFTHORN changed their name to COLD COLOURS in 1999 while recording the debut full length CD "Somnium XIII."A second CD entitled "The Burden of Hope" was released in 2005. After many different lineups, Brian finally met his match in Ryan Felgen, who joined the band in 2008. The 2 are currently writing many new songs for the future. The 2 core members have also been joined by live members Sam Van Moer (Gracepoint) on bass, Jamie Strobach on Drums and Dave Hart on Guitar. While maintaining our own identity, we are strongly influenced by acts such as SENTENCED, AMORPHIS, MOONSPELL and P
