The band was formed on the initiative of Cthulhu - the high priest of the Great Old Ones in the sunken city of R'lyeh. It came out of the water at the beginning of 2011, and chosen Krakow as its base. Coffinfish task is to maintain worship of the Cthulhu through its music and to keep waiting for his return. To date, they released a 3 song self-titled ep in Sep 2012, and a full length "I Am Providence" in 2015.
