Clone High was a television show on MTV and Teletoon. It lasted only six episodes on MTV before being cancelled, but the full season of 13 episodes aired on Teletoon. The series was cancelled because of protests in India over the portrayal of young Gandhi. At the time it was cancelled the show was doing so well they started airing it 3 times a day on MTV and also airing it on MTV2. Along with "Jackass" it was the highest testing show in MTV history. MTV was so pleased with the ratings and the reviews of the show they ordered more episodes. The production came to a screeching halt when MTV was forced to cancel the show because of pressure on Viacom (MTV's parent company) from the government of India. MTV had world wide rights. But MTV didn't have a good animation department so they hired Nelvana - a Canadian company to do the animation. In exchange Nelvana had the rights to broadcast the show in Canada. And they did. Non stop for many years. If not for that no one would know about Clone High. The show featured some strong musical acts such as Abandoned Pools, Dashboard Confessional and Catch 22. It also had special guest stars Mandy Moore, Marilyn Manson, Luke Perry and many more. The creators of the show are currently working on the show "Scrubs".
