Cloe du Trefle is the solo project of Cloe Defossez, a young composer from Brussels. «Microclimat» is her second album in French, after «Sapristi», and after her album in English «Tales from my skyscraper» with Clover's Cloe, the band she created in 1999 and with which she played several times in the Botanique, in the Dour Festival, in the Ancienne Belgique, opening concerts for bands such as Ani Difranco, Ben Harper, Robert Plant in the Nandrin Festival, Shivaree,... Cloe Defossez also composes music for films, documentaries,... and has different musical collaborations. Cloe learned piano as a child but soon got bored of only classical music. She loves to play electric guitar, bass guitar, torture sounds on her computer, but she is also fond of all kinds of keyboards (harmoniums, Hammonds, Rhodes...) and has a lot of fun mixing classical and electronic music. She was a revelation in Belgium, finalist of «La Biennale de la Chanson française», and winning the same year the first price of «Musique a la Française» and the price of the Botanique and also being a «Coup de Coeur» of the famous Festival «Francofolies de Spa». The new album of Cloe du Trefle is a self production realised with Rudy Coclet (Arno, Dominique A,...). The songs are about The Doubt, Europe, cranes as «Modern Insects», there is also an «Ode to famous thieves», a song to the word «Toujours» («Always» in French),...
