Artist
Cliff Nobles & Co. was a Philadelphia based 60s Soul act who released the single "Love is Alright" is May, 1968, and found minor success. However, it was the b-side titled "The Horse" (simply, an instrumental of "Love is Alright" performed by the band that would become MFSB) that spawned a fad dance and a #2 R&B hit come July of 1968. The success of "The Horse" elevated it to A-side, and it has since become a staple of marching bands.
