Claudio Menezes (born Claudio Henrique de Menezes on July 2, 1963 in the town of Fortaleza, Ceara) is a Brazilian musician. One of the ten children of a left wing journalist and a teacher, he proved a young virtuoso, having learned guitar playing by himself before he was a teenager. At the age of fifteen, he was already playing professionally, in nightclubs, accompanying singers and bands in various styles in his native town. As a youngster, he was fascinated by Bossa nova ,Swing and Jazz, but his main influences were firmly rooted in the Brazilian guitarists Alemão, Hélio Delmiro, Ademir Cândido, Heraldo Monte. A self-taught guitarist and composer, Claudio Menezes moved to Brasilia,the Brazilian capital, in 1994. Having lived in the Moscow n 1997, Claudio Menezes returned to Brazil in 1998. During that period studied electric guitar with Prof. Serov at Gnesin Academy of Music. By the year of the 2001 he converted to Evangelical faith. Now, he calls himself a committed follower of Jesus Christ. During the years of 2001 and 2005 lived in Japan and Brazil and launched his first album FRUTO, which might be considered inspired by his religious beliefs. Since 1994 , as a teacher of electric guitar, he has given a great contribution to new musicians in Brasilia, the capital of Brazil.
