This fingerstyle acoustic guitarist and lutenist from California's redwood country never bothered to pick up the chords charts and exercise books. Playing intuitively and from the heart, her instrumental compositions are nourishing and supportive. A gentle companion for contemplative activities like yoga or meditation, the mellow yet lively melodies revive and refresh the soul. Having worked for years in California's forests, Rose uses her music to guide the listener in experiencing the wonder and wildlife of the woods. Tracks like Redwood Dawn, Green Heron, and Meadow Run reveal aspects of Rose's years in the woods. In 2005, Rose relocated to Edinburgh, Scotland, where she is devoting more time to playing the baroque lute and singing (Taize chants in some of Edinburgh's old stone spaces).
