Clara Ghimel's musical influences are very rich and diverse, including Jazz, Rock, Bossa Nova, Soul, Funk, R&B and, in particular, the Blues. This musical exposure has allowed Clara Ghimel to develop an unique singing style, an eclectic set list, and the ability to perform on a simple duo as well as on a big band formation. Clara Ghimel has performed at various locations, such as Concha Acústica do Teatro Castro Alves (Salvador), Bourbon Street, SESC Ipiranga e Sesi Avenida Paulista (São Paulo), Teatros SESC (Brasilia, Campinas, Ribeirão Preto, São José do Rio Preto and São Carlos), in Brazil; Reitoria da Universidade do Porto and Casino Lisboa, in Portugal; Harlem Jazz Club, in Barcelona, Spain; Panonica Club, in Dan Haag, Holland; and more than 80 performances at Casino Estoril (Portugal). She has participated in several international music festivals, such as Heineken Blues Festival (Curitiba and São Paulo, Brazil), Valkhofaffaire Festival (Nijmegen, Hollanda), Jazz Minde (Minde, Portugal) and Barnasants Festival (Barcelona, Spain). She has also performed at private events organized by Xerox, Petrobrás (Brazilian Oil Company), Varig (Brazilian airlines), São Paulo City Council, Bahia State Government, and Lisbon Medical University. Her first album, Every Night of the Week, is a classic blues cd. All tracks were recorded in English, and the cd includes two songs composed by Clara Ghimel.
