As a kid, she wasn't precisely the one that everybody loved. Brilliant and insolent child, later a disturbing dancer and a rebel model, now an eccentric singer and still an inveterate stage animal, Altaïr - pronounce it al-ta-eer -, the girl whose voice reminds of a Tori Amos on drugs or of a female Kurt Cobain, irritates and seduces... Proudly Parisian but exiled to London, this muse of many choreographers, photographers, painters, composers and even of some renowned producers ended up producing her own music, avoiding compromises regarding the weirdness and violent beauty of her music. From the most sensual murmurs to the loudest painful screams, Altaïr's unique voice couldn't find better company than the unique instrumentations she's the only one to create, manipulating sounds she records in her very own music lab, leaving a scent of Kate Bush meeting Siouxsie, who she often claims to be the daughter of. Untamable, eccentric and marginal, her being the lead singer of an indie rock band comes as no suprise. She is said to be now recording an album as electric than corrosive...
