Ciudad 83 is a chilean rockband formed in 2019 in Melipilla, Santiago, Chile. Their band members are playing together since 2013. Their sound is influenced by indie and garage rock. Their band influences come from the classic Black Sabbath and the more modern Arctic Monkeys, but also having some chilean influences like Los Prisioneros and Devil Presley. On April the 11th of 2020, they released their first single called "La Vida Es Así" (en: "Life is like that"). The lyrics are about the reality that some people deal with and the garage rock sound already described to release this song that a lot of young people could feel identified. Their second single "No Quiero Morir" (en: "I don't want to die") also has some socially themed lyrics which makes you think about the social and personal problems that our society has while we listening the clearly punk influences of this band. Ciudad 83 is formed by Carlos Krauss (lead vocals and lead guitar), Juan Ramírez (bass and backing vocals), Mario González (rhythm guitar and backing vocals) and Jorge Olguín (drums).
