Artist
There are three artists with this name – American, Swedish, and Japanese. Cinnamon is an American indie/alternative band fronted by Harley Quinn Smith. The project features a full band lineup and a modern indie rock sound, with releases including songs such as “Star” and “Enemy.” Smith was previously a member of the band The Tenth. The Swedish group Cinnamon was formed in 1993. Their sound blends elements of Northern Soul, Kraftwerk-inspired electronics, and European film and art influences. Jiri Novak (guitar, keyboards), Frida Diesen (vocals, harmonica, synthesizers), and Per Linden (keyboards, guitars) were later joined by Samuel Laxberg (bass) and Christian Ekwall (drums). Their debut EP Vox was released in 1995, followed by Summer Meditation. The 1997 album The Courier preceded international touring, with Many Moods of Cinnamon (1999) and Vertigo (1999) following. Cinnamon is also the name of a Japanese artist. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
