Cigarettes and Milk is a solo, indie folk project created by Nathan Przekop. He was born on December 3rd, 1992 in the town of Hanover, Connecticut. Early on, Nathan would write short stories and poems in order to pass the time of during his childhood. He is the youngest of three siblings. Nathan started to play guitar after graduating high school, because he wanted to learn how to play "9 Crimes" by Damien Rice. You can hear a resemblance between their vocal style. He also was inspired by his depressing and cynical, poetic lyricism. After a couple years of playing guitar, Nathan listened to The Tallest Man on Earth. Immediately after he began learning how to travis pick. In order to promote his music, he moved to Boston and slept on the streets for months. He moved back to Connecticut after the homeless kept conspiring different methods to steal his guitar. Nathan rarely plays live gigs, he suffers from social anxiety and panic disorder but he claims that's not the reason he doesn't play live. He hates driving and lives nowhere nearby any bars or gigs.
