Formed in Santiago, Chile, in late 2024, Chroma Noir brings together vocalist Mauricio Solari and multi-instrumentalist Mario Castro in a collaboration that fuses atmosphere, intensity, and melody. Rooted in electronica and synth-pop, the duo channels the darker moods of post-punk and goth, taking inspiration from Depeche Mode, Bauhaus, The Sisters of Mercy, and Peter Murphy. Chroma Noir’s sound is defined by Solari’s evocative vocals and Castro’s cinematic synthesizers, weaving noir-tinged textures with driving rhythms. Their music pays homage to the synth-driven pop of the early 1980s while embracing a contemporary edge that speaks to fans of synthwave, darkwave, and beyond. Their debut single, “Burned Into My Mind”—produced by Nicolás Arce (América Paz)—was released in September 2025, serving as both an introduction and a mission statement: a sound that is at once nostalgic and forward-looking, resonant with shadows yet reaching for light.
