Christian von Blohn (* 1963 in Homburg) is a German organist, church musician and music educator. Von Blohn completed his studies at the Saar University of Music in Saarbrücken with the A-exam in Catholic church music and the diploma examination in music education. His organ teacher was André Luy, in whose master class at the Conservatoire de Lausanne he continued his studies and was awarded the Premier Prix de Virtuosité. Further studies with a focus on early music took him to the Music Academy in Basel under Daniel Chorzempa and to the Mozarteum in Salzburg. Musical activities: He has been a church musician at the Catholic parish church of St. Hildegard since 1993 and also at St. Josef St. Ingbert since 2015. There he is head of the St. Ingbert branch of the Episcopal Church Music Institute Diocese of Speyer, where he teaches the aspiring C church musicians in the subjects of choir conducting and organ, and deanery cantor for the Saarpfalz deanery. He is also a lecturer in choral conducting and accompanist at the Saar University of Music in Saarbrücken. He is the director of the Collegium Vocale Blieskastel, with whom he performs choral works such as the St. John Passion by Johann Sebastian Bach or the oratorio “Paulus by Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy.
